The newly redesigned Microcor Data-Logger MWT-3905-MDL (MDL) is the next generation in remote corrosion/erosion monitoring data-loggers, featuring an all-in-one design, lower cost, and improved battery life. With it’s new extended 5 year battery life,  the MDL  now ensures years, not months of uninterrupted operation. Battery replacement costs are reduced and unexpected data loss from power failure is avoided.

When unexpected corrosion problems arise, the MDL is a quick and cost effective solution. In a matter of minutes the MDL can be easily configured and installed, no power or communication wiring required! With its compact all-in-one design, the MDL is less cost per monitoring point than its predecessor.  The self powered MDL has low start-up costs and virtually no maintenance costs.  With no power and communication infrastructure required, the MDL is a low cost option for remote locations. 
 
Data download is simple and quick with a Checkmate™ DL in hazardous areas or a laptop if located in a safe area. Microcor Tools PC software allows for easy data storage and graphical analysis of the results, showing metal loss and corrosion/erosion rate. When multiple sites and corrosion monitoring methods are used, Corrdata II total corrosion management software allows the user to graph multiple parameters for direct correlation of data.

Microcor MWT-3905-MDL Quickstart Guide

The battery powered MWT-3905-MDL Data-Logger provides for an autonomous corrosion/erosion data collection system. The MWT-3905-MDL has the added capability of simplified data collection from the hazardous area with the intrinsically safe Checkmate DL data collector. The communication operates through an intrinsically safe RS 232 port on the data-logger. This avoids the need to remove the data-logger to the safe area under a hot work permit, in order to transfer data to the PC. In non-hazardous areas, the corrosion/erosion data may still be collected directly with a portable PC and connection cable to the data-logger.
