Corrosion Monitoring By-Pass Racks are commonly used in industrial water treatment systems to determine the corrosive properties of potable - process - or cooling water. The By-Pass Rack creates a side stream off the main system in which corrosion test coupons can be exposed to system water under controlled and reproducible conditions. The corrosion coupons can be periodically removed and either visually examined or returned to the laboratory for determination of weight loss, corrosion rate, and pitting severity.
RCS Corrosion Monitoring Racks are designed to accommodate CORRATER probes and/or weight loss coupons. Standard systems are fabricated from Schedule 80 PVC, CPVC or Stainless Steel. Standard features include shut off valves, flow meters, and mounting board. RCS can custom specifically design a system to meet your application. The By-Pass Rack is easily installed to your existing piping.
Mating coupon holders and CORRATER probes are available in compatible materials. Refer to CORRATER PROBE Datasheet for CORRATER probe ordering information.
